The festivities will commence at 10 am on the corner of 46th Street and Times Square, and with lots of music and dance, the parade will then proceed along 46th St. (Little Brazil) to the stage located between 5th and Madison Ave.
The festivities will be enriched by the sounds of the agogos and timbaus which are some of the main instruments used to accompany the singers Luanda Lynch and Davi Vieira as they join in harmony singing the official song of The Lavagem “Aqui Estou” in the mix of Afoxe rhythm.
Luanda is a model/singer/dancer. Davi is a recording artist/singer/percussionist.
In accompaniment are dignitaries, sponsors, celebrities, musicians, dancers, followers of the Brazilian culture, also national and international media.
This opening event of the Brazilian Day will bring several attractions to the stage to be located on 46th Street between Madison and 5th Avenue.
The audience will be introduced to dignitaries, sponsors and representatives who made the event possible.
Then the stage will be opened to Brazilian bands, featuring world renowned artists and local artists, samba dancers, games involving crowd participation and the exciting 5th annual pageant “Muse of Brazilian Day,” in which the audience will be the judge. |
